Terms of Service
Effective August 30, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Edumito, a school management platform provided by Goldus Technologies Limited(“Edumito”, “we”, “us”). By creating a school account, or by using Edumito as a staff member, student, or parent invited by a school, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, you confirm you have authority to do so, and “you” refers to that school.
2. The service
Edumito provides school administration tools — student and staff records, attendance, timetabling, exams and results, messaging, fee billing, and related reporting — for Nigerian schools, delivered as a hosted, multi-tenant web application. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product evolves.
3. Accounts
- A school administrator creates the school’s account and is responsible for inviting and managing staff, student, and parent access within it.
- You’re responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
4. Free trial
New schools get a 30-day free trial with no card required. At the end of the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the platform; we’ll show your current plan and billing status inside the app before that happens.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscription pricing is based on the plan and student-count band applicable to your school for the current term, shown at checkout and inside your billing settings.
- Payment is accepted via Paystack (card/bank) or by bank transfer submitted for confirmation by our team. Where an installment plan is available, splitting a term’s fee across multiple installments does not change the total amount due.
- If payment isn’t received by the applicable due date, your subscription may move to an overdue state and, if it remains unpaid past the grace period, access to paid features may be suspended until the balance is settled. We’ll show this status inside the app so it’s never a surprise.
- Fees are quoted and billed in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise, and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Referrer / agent program
Individuals who register as a referrer may earn a commission for schools they refer that go on to pay for a subscription, under whatever commission terms are shown to them at the time. Commission is only payable on completed, confirmed payments, and we may withhold or reverse commission obtained through fraudulent or abusive referrals.
7. Your data
You (the school) own the student, staff, and academic data you put into Edumito. We process it on your behalf and under your instructions to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for having any consents needed (including from parents or guardians) to have us process it. On request, we’ll help you export your school’s data, and we’ll delete it within a reasonable period after your account is closed, subject to any legal retention requirements.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Edumito for any unlawful purpose, or to enter data you don’t have the right to store.
- Attempt to access another school’s data, or any part of the platform you haven’t been authorized to use.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s operation (e.g. attempting to bypass rate limits, probing for vulnerabilities without authorization, or overloading the service).
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the platform without our written agreement.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Edumito available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access — the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control (including outages at our hosting or third-party providers).
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edumito is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under applicable Nigerian law.
11. Termination
You may stop using Edumito and close your account at any time; outstanding fees for the current billing period remain payable. We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach of these Terms (including non-payment beyond the grace period, or abusive/unlawful use), with notice where reasonably practicable.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product or our business needs change. We’ll update the effective date above, and for material changes we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify school administrators directly. Continued use of Edumito after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
